In January 2021, Tusshar Kapoor had announced his next production venture titled Maarrich. Directed by Dhruv Lather, the mystery thriller will see the actor sharing screen space with Naseeruddin Shah and Anita Hassanandani. Talking about the film, Tusshar shared that it is in post-production and expected to release soon
Tusshar Kapoor will be essaying the role of Rajiv, a sharp-witted police officer, who lands up with a double murder case. Speaking about the release Tusshar says, "Yes Maarrich is going to be out really soon. It’s a murder mystery thriller so looking forward to it. Currently finishing the post-production." After producing Laxmmi starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, this will the actor-producer's second production venture.
Notifying his fans about his new project, he had also shared a post on Twitter which said, “Almost 20 yrs down this wonderful journey of making stories come to life, beginning 2021 with #Maarrich..a departure from my usual style, a film that challenges me to evolve as an actor! Excited to share glimpses, even more excited to share screen space with Naseer Sir after long!”
Tusshar looking back at his 20 years of acting journey which started in 2001 shares, "I look at the journey as one with a lot of success, disappointments, hard work and all of the learnings. Made a lot of friends, some good people and some not-so-good people, it’s been a journey with a lot of ups and downs but been very very fulfilling. It’s been very rejuvenating, a journey of constant learning and it’s a journey that makes me want to now complete another 20 years. I don’t want to stop at any point I feel energetic, I feel young, I feel like I am a newcomer."
The 44-year old actor further adds, "So the journey has eventually made me happier as a person, has made me more contented as a human being and that is very important when you look back at your career it should feel content, it should make you feel like you’ve earned something, you’ve made something worthwhile and you’ve given audiences a lot of entertainment and happiness. I feel I have achieved a lot as far as making people laugh and making people cry, so I am sure I have miles to go I have a lot more to achieve, I am still very very young, and have a very long way to go."
