Noted lyricist Sameer Anjaan, who has many hit Bollywood songs to his credit, is upset with the makers of Ranbir Kapoor’s film Animal. He slammed the makers for not giving the due credit to the lyricist and the composer in the first pre-teaser of the film. A few days ago, the 50-second-long pre-teaser of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial was dropped on social media and it featured the song ‘Dang Khadke’ in the background. But, in the pre-teaser and on the poster of the film, the makers didn’t mention the name of the lyricist and the composer of the song. And, this has miffed Sameer.

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Sameer expressed his anger on the same asking how they can do this injustice to the music fraternity. He was quoted saying, “Animal is such a huge film, even the sound recordist’s name is there on the poster. How can you do this injustice to the music fraternity? Can you imagine? Aisa nahi hai ki there will be no music in the film, jiski wajah se they didn’t put the names. I think there is a huge nexus working on this.” Sameer went on to point out that there has been a drop in the quality of Hindi music because of the lack of proper credit to music composers and lyricists.

He even shared that he and the music composer duo Nadeem-Sharavan used to put it into their contract that their name will appear on the film’s poster. The lyricist also decides to have a meeting to ensure action should be taken against those who fail to give due credit to writers and composers.ALSO READ Animal Pre-Teaser OUT: Ranbir Kapoor’s Never-Seen-Before Action Avatar In Blood-Soaked Drama Impresses Internet; Fans Call It ‘Spine-Chilling’
