Bollywood actress Kajol enjoys a huge fan following. She is currently one of the most-sought actresses in the Hindi entertainment industry as she never shies away from expressing her opinions during media interactions. Adored for her straightforward attitude, the actress recently opened up about the portrayal of sex in movies and why female pleasure should be normalised like eating and drinking.

During the promotions of her upcoming movie, Lust Stories 2, Kajol spoke to Filmfare about how the filmmakers portray love and lust in their projects like it is perceived by the current generation. Shedding light on the fact that talking about female pleasure should be normalised just like eating and drinking, the actress shared that it has been a part of our ancient texts. She said, “At one point in time as a society, we were very open about it. It was part of our ancient texts and our education. We later closed ourselves off from it. For the unversed, Kajol will be seen in Amit Sharma’s story. An anthropology series Lust Stories focuses on 4 different modern-day relationships and highlights female sexual desire. Apart from Sharma, the movie also has stories from directors Konkona Sen Sharma, R Balki and Sujoy Ghosh. Currently streaming on Netflix, the movie also stars Vijay Varma, Tamannaah, Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi, Tillotama Shome, Amruta Subhash, Neena Gupta and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles.
