Comedian Munawar Faruqui is the most talked-about contestant on Kangana Ranaut's reality show Lock Upp. Be it his showdown with Ranaut on the very first day, ugly fights with co-contestants, or making some candid confessions, Munawar has been making headlines ever since he appeared on the show, backed by Ekta Kapoor. Recently, the comedian recalled the time he spent in a real jail and revealed the challenges he faced. Talking to the camera, Faruqui asserted that passing time inside a jail is the most difficult thing to do.
In a video shared on ALTBalaji’s social media accounts, the comedian said he used to walk barefoot as they were not given shoes inside the jail in order to time pass. "7 bje se walk karna shuru karte the, 3-4 ghante tak walk kiye, ek dum thakke paer ek dum patthar jaisa ho gaya. baithta tha, lagta tha 4-5 ghanta ho gaya, dekho to gadhi mein to pone 8. 45 minutes,” Munawar stated. He also revealed that during his stay in real jail, his mind used to run constantly with so many thoughts running and they would keep changing with every second. In the video, he explained, "Ek hi chij hoti hai waha pe, pata hai kya- waqt guzarna, aur ek hi chij hai jo waha pe possible nahi hai, pata hai kya- waqt guzarna.”
For the unversed, the standup comedian, last year, was arrested in Indore for allegedly "insulting Hindu gods and goddesses" during one of his shows.
Meanwhile, Munawar Faruqui recently got emotional when the ‘new jailor’ Karan Kundrra told him that he is trending outside. The actor informed the comedian that his stints and game in the show are being loved by his fans and viewers.
