Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer Robot 2.0 is under some serious piracy issues. The trailer of the film got leaked a while ago on social media.
The leaked video seems to have been taken on phone by a viewer who attended a private screening of the teaser.
From what can be understood from the leaked video, the film seems to be about the excessive usage of cell phone, where the main villain (Akshay Kumar) tries to take over the world using mobiles.

The makers of the film have already begun posting on social media talking about the severity of the implications such leaks have.
Producer and Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth took to Twitter to say, "Leaking content online before the official release should not be TOLERATED or ENCOURAGED ! This is a heartless act ignoring hard work, efforts and sentiments of the makers for few seconds of excitement !!! #BeAshamed #StopPiracy #StopMisusingDigitalMedium (sic)."

It is being said that the film has been made on a budget of about Rs 430 Crore and it's really unfair on part of the people who leaked the teaser. It will surely affect the collections of the film.
A few days back, Rajinikanth's Kaala teaser also got leaked online, and the makers of the film had to hasten up the process of the official release.
Looks like Rajinikanth is having a really hard time with pranksters online.
