Many films have remained unreleased with the outbreak of COVID -19, but not anymore, as many big films have opted for OTT release over the theatrical release. One of which is Akshay Kumar’s first film of the year 2020, Laxmii. This horror-comedy will be premiering today after a long delay to finally entertain the audience, delivering chills and thrills. This remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana titled Laxmii will premiere today on Disney + Hotstar at around 7:05 pm, directed by Raghava Lawrence. The movie also reunites Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani after they shared screen space in Good Newwz released in 2019. It is produced by Shabinaa Khan and Tusshar Kapoor, it also stars actor Sharad Kelkar, Aryan Preet, Manu Rishi Chadha, Babu Antony among others. The music for this Bollywood remake is composed by Amar Mohile and Tanishk Bagchi.

Meanwhile, before finally arriving on the OTT platform, the film hit a lot of roadblocks which included ceratin sections of people demanding a change in the title of the film.
