Late Wajid Khan's Wife Kamalrukh Khan Moves Bombay HC In Property Case; Soughts A Permanent Injunction Against His Brother Sajid Khan And His Mother

Wajid Khan of the Sajid-Wajid duo passed away on June 1, 2020. He passed away at the age of 43. Now, his wife Kamalrukh Khan has moved to Bombay High Court claiming rights on his properties. She has moved to the court demanding a permanent injunction against Wajid Khan's brother Sajid Khan and his mother. Reportedly, she has claimed that the late music composer had named her and their children as beneficiaries in the will he made in 2012.

As reported by India Today, Kamalrukh Khan is also demanding for interim reliefs, seeking permanent injunction against Sajid Khan and his mother from alienating her or claiming third-party rights in the property. On Friday, the Bombay High Court asked Sajid Khan and his family to reveal details of Wajid Khan's properties. Kamalrukh Khan then thanked the Bombay High Court for safeguarding his properties. On Instagram, she wrote, "The hon.High Court ensures that Wajid's assets are safeguarded and instructs his family to disclose all assets. One step closer to getting my children their inheritance. Post the demise of Wajid Khan, Kamalrukh Khan claimed that they separated due to religious differences. As per the report, Wajid Khan gave his consent to provide maintenance to her and their children and had even agreed to gift certain immovable assets to them. She was also supposedly made a joint holder of Wajid Khan's account, as reported by India Today. The report further suggests that Kamalrukh Khan alleged that Sajid Khan contacted societies where Wajid Khan had properties and asked the managers to not take calls of his wife.
