The third wave of COVID-19 pandemic and Omicron variant has once again affected the film business. The movies scheduled to release from December 2021 onwards are once again kept on hold with theatres shutting down in certain parts of the country. Now as per reports in Bollywoodlife.com, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha is likely to be pushed ahead once again. The movie was initially supposed to release in Christmas 2021, was later pushed to Valentines' Day 2022 and then to April 14, 2022, on the occasion of Baisakhi.
Now as per the latest reports in the said portal it will be pushed ahead to avoid locking horns with the sequel of KGF, an action drama scheduled to release on April 14, 2022. The makers have announced the release of KGF 2 starring Yash in the lead, last year in August. Also, makers learned the current scenario where Kabir Khan’s ‘ 83 was pushed in the corner after the release of Pushp: The Rise starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. Hence, the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha have decided to shift the release ahead.
The portal added the reason for the movie to be delayed is the final leg of work which includes the pending VFX section.
While the filmmakers are speculating to release it around Diwali, but not the weekend as Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan is scheduled to release the movie around this time. However, the official confirmation on the same is yet to be out.
