In her book ‘Open Book: Not quite a Memoir’, actress Kubbra Sait has made a shocking revelation of being sexually abused by her family friend. Now, in a recent interview, Kubbra mentioned that the purpose of writing that incident was not to tell the world that she was a ‘dukhi aatma.’ The Sacred Games actress also mentioned that when she was writing about this tragic incident, she intended to forgive herself for not knowing “what to do, what she could not have done, and that she did not do it and it is okay.”
Speaking with ETimes TV, Sait stated, “I was not writing to showcase a monster. I was not writing for the person to read and come and apologise to me. I am over it. He does not define me anymore. It is not something I hold so close to my heart that I will not be willing to revisit it. The purpose of writing that incident was not to tell the world that I was a dukhi aatma. We are all sad in such a situation, but I am miles away from that situation now. I am looking at it from an outsider's perspective, I was not looking to make it right.” ALSO READ: SHOCKING!
