Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino’s film Kill Bill is a classic movie. The American martial arts film released in 2003 and starred Uma Thurman in the lead. According to a report, actress Kriti Sanon is expected to play a lead role in the Hindi adaptation of the Quentin Tarantino classic Kill Bill. The actress will be gearing up for the first out and out action film of her career. The report mentioned that the Hindi adaptation will be helmed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

According to a report in Pinkvilla.com, a source revealed that producer Nikhil Dwivedi, who had acquired the rights to remake the Quentin Tarantino classic, Kill Bill in India has been working closely on the script. The source said, “Nikhil has been working closely on the script of Kill Bill adaptation with Anurag Kashyap all through the lockdown. The duo are calling it a homage to the original film and have finally locked a script that does justice to the legacy of the Quentin Tarantino directorial.”

The source further shared, “Anurag and Nikhil have now taken a step ahead to move on to the casting front and initiated conversations with Kriti Sanon to play the lead.” The source in the report added that the actress has agreed in principle to do the film and the paperwork will be done soon too. The actress will be undergoing a lot of prep in multiple forms of action before the film goes on floor. Talking about the character in the film, the source revealed, “It’s the character of an assassin, termed as the deadliest woman in the world. The action aside, there runs a strong undercurrent of revenge and emotions all through the narrative, much like the original film.” Apart from Kriti, other two actresses will also come on board to play key roles.


Meanwhile, according to the report, the film might take off by early next year. However, as per the source in the report, the film production is all dependent on the COVID-19 scenario.
