As we all are well aware, the Luka Chuppi actress, does not shy away when she has to speak her mind. She was recently seen in the song Aira Gaira in the Dharma Productions Kalank. The actress earlier expressed that she does not like how certain songs are given the ‘item number’ tag, according to the actress she finds it a “little derogatory”.

The actress who has performed in the special songs of Stree – Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe and Kalank – Aira Gaira said,“Why do people call these songs item numbers is something I really don’t understand. It does not give out good vibes. They are simply dance numbers that add to the entertainment factor of the film. And these songs are loved by people. So why not be little respectful to those who are making these songs and also those who are a part of it.” Both these songs did pretty well and also very well praised and acclaimed according to the actress, hence that being the reason she doesn’t understand why they have to be called as 'Item Songs' instead of Special songs.

The actress then mentioned that this partiality is only when a female actor is doing a special number and male actors never have to face such tags. Kriti further added,“When Aamir [Khan] sir, Shah Rukh [Khan] sir or Salman [Khan] sir perform a special songs in films they are never called item numbers. Then why changes when a female actor does the same? This mindset need to change.”
Kriti who received lots of love and applause for Luka Chuppi will next be seen in the 2019 releases Arjun Patiala, Houseful 4 and Panipat.
