2020 was a testing period for actress Kriti Kharbanda. While everyone was combating with the deadly Coronavirus, the actress was diagnosed with Malaria. She was diagnosed with malaria in November 2020. It was a double challenge for the actress to recuperate from it and get back to work. As reported by Times Of India, the actress shared being worried about her film 14 Phere’s shooting schedule going for a toss. The film's team was shooting for 18 hours a day.
She said, “I was detected with malaria in November, and was advised complete bed rest for three weeks. However, I didn’t want the schedule of 14 Phere to go helter-skelter because of me, so I insisted that we start the shoot as per schedule. I was barely 10 days into malaria when I started shooting. Moreover, we were in Lucknow, shooting for nearly 18 hours a day.” She also shared losing six kilos, followed by stress reflecting on her face.
The actress shared that it took three hours for makeup to deck up like a bride, but after she resumed the shoot, her weight loss began to reflect on her face. Kriti adds, “I lost six kilos, and the stress was showing on my skin and body. I am just happy that I was able to finish the schedule. It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the entire team.”
