Sanjay Dutt was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and is believed that the cancer is its aggressive stage which suggests he would require immediate medical attention. Before the news of cancer broke in, Sanjay took to his Twitter handle where he announced that he will be taking a short break from work for his medical treatment while also urging his fans not to worry and not to speculate anything. As the Panipat actor was diagnosed with lung cancer, his upcoming film KGF 2 where he essays the role of antagonist, Adheera, is now being delayed. Talking about the same, Karthik Gowda, Executive Producer of Hombale Films who has backed both the parts of KGF told TOI that Sanjay will resume shooting and will complete the film after three months, once his treatment is over.
While talking to the portal, Karthik was quoted saying, "Dutt will return after 3 months, once his treatment is over, to complete my film. His team spoke to me today. I spoke to Dutt two days back." He also said that about 3 days of shoot is remaining and those are extension scenes.
As the film is now delayed, Gowda further stated that KGF 2 will not release on its appointed date, October 23. He said, "I have 20 days of shoot left if I add up the balance work of all the actors in the movie. Moreover, theatres have not yet opened and we don't know when movies will start releasing on big screens. So anyway, we have to wait."
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt will be next seen in Mahesh Bhatt directed Sadak 2, which will release on August 28. Apart from this film and KGF, he also has Torbaaz, Shamshera and Bhuj: The Pride India.
