A deepfake is a form of synthetic media, such as videos, photos, or audio recordings, that undergo manipulation or creation through AI methods. These algorithms are employed to overlay or substitute a person's appearance in an existing video or audio with another person's likeness. This can be executed with remarkable realism, creating the illusion that the altered content is authentic.
"Today, both as a woman and an actress, I express my gratitude for the protection and support provided by my family, friends, and well-wishers. However, if such an incident had occurred during my school or college days, I can hardly fathom how I would have coped with it. This is a matter that we must collectively address with utmost urgency before more individuals fall victim to such identity theft," emphasized a portion of her statement. In the widely circulated video, a woman bearing Rashmika's likeness is observed entering an elevator while dressed in a black swimsuit. The video rapidly gained popularity, with numerous social media users stepping forward to confirm that it was indeed a deepfake. Tiger 3 is helmed by Maneesh Sharma and stars Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi in key roles. It is slated to hit theatres on Nov 12.
