Katrina Kaif is one of those few actresses in Bollywood, who have managed to stay relevant and always on the top of their game for a long time. Currently, the actress seems to be in a really good place professionally as she has multiple projects in hand and now, according to latest reports, it seems that the actress has added one more project to that list.
According to a report in Bollywood Life, Katrina has been signed on for director R Balki’s next, where she will be seen in the lead role. The project is reportedly centred on a strong female-centric subject, for which Katrina is apparently putting herself through the drill to get everything right.
To add to that, the report also said that Amitabh Bachchan will make an appearance in the film in an important cameo. Before this, Bachchan and Katrina have worked together in three films—Boom, Sarkar and Thugs Of Hindostan—and just last year only, there were some rumours about the duo being in talks for reuniting for a project which finally didn’t end up happening.
We reached out to Balki’s team for a confirmation, but they chose not to comment over the matter. If reports are to be believed, it will mark Balki and Bachchan’s fifth project together after Cheeni Kum, Paa, Shamitabh and Ki & Ka.
Meanwhile, Katrina has a long list of projects in different stages of production. While her reunion with Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi has been waiting for a theatrical release since a year-and-a-half now, she has wrapped up Bhoot Police with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhanth Chaturvedi. Today, she also flies to Russia for the overseas schedule of Tiger 3 with Salman Khan, and recently she was also announced to be a part of Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial, Jee Le Zaraa, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Alia Bhatt. Apart from these, Katrina also has Ali Abbas Zafar’s superhero film.
Whereas Amitabh Bachchan has Chehre up for release with Emraan Hashmi this August 27. After that, he has Jhund, Brahmastra, Mayday and Goodbye, all in different stages of production. After all these projects, he will also start work on The Intern remake with Deepika Padukone.
Balki had recently announced his next directorial, his first thriller with Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Bhatt and Shreya Dhanwanthary.
