The trailer of his romantic comedy was dropped online on Monday and created some serious buzz. However, a monologue on marital rape by Kartik Aaryan, part of the film’s first rushes, did not go unnoticed. The film, its makers and stars have been receiving severe backlash on social media for the ‘offensive’ scene.

As per online reports, the makers now claim that they got “carried away” and are considering editing it out of the final cut of the movie. Citing an example of Kartik’s famous monologue from Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which was a hit, the makers said that they tried to replicate the same but seem to have not got it right. They agree that the outcome has been “offensive” and in a bid to correct it, they will now be editing it out of the film’s final cut. The said scene sees Kartik who plays Chintu Tyagi in conversation with his friend, Aparshakti Khurrana. It goes thus, “"Biwi se sex maang lein, toh hum bhikaari. Biwi ko sex naa de, toh hum atyaachari. Biwi ko sex mana kar dein, toh hum atyachaari aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke uss se sex haasil kar lein na toh balaatkaari bhi hum hain."

Meanwhile, when SpotboyE.com met Bhumi Pednekar on Tuesday evening, we asked her about the said scene and here is how she reacted. “Firstly, it’s not Kartik saying those things, it’s his character. Secondly, I don’t think I’m in a position to honestly comment on that right now because there’s too much happening. I need to think about this and then have a more thoughtful reply.”
