Kartik Aaryan has posted a sweet birthday greeting for one of his favourite directors Imtiaz Ali saying ‘Happy Birthday To My Favourite Soul’. The video that accompanies the write-up shows the star and the director hugging emotionally. In the voiceover, Kartik talks about how much he has learnt from Imtiaz during the making of Love Aaj Kal.

A director-friend of Imtiaz Ali says, “It is quite possible that he is getting together with Kartik Aaryan again. They had formed a pretty strong bond during Love Aaj Kal. Although the film didn’t do well, the two have kept in touch with one another. Which is rare in this industry of working relationships.” Sources say Imtiaz’s next may feature Kartik and Alia Bhatt who gave a sterling performance in Imtiaz’s Highway. Says the friend, “Imtiaz really liked what Kartik did in Love Aaj Kal. I think the actor got hold of the sur that Imtiaz wanted. Ditto Alia in Highway. It’s fresh pair.
