Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan was ousted from two Bollywood films recently. The actor was ousted from Karan Johar’s Dostana 2 and subsequently from Shah Rukh Khan’s production Freddie. Now, this morning, rumours about Kartik Aaryan losing another Bollywood project, surfaced. The sources in a new report claimed that Kartik was roped in by filmmaker Aanand L Rai for his yet-untitled production-a gangster film. The report claimed that the actor is no longer a part of the film. However, this report isn't true, and an official statement issued by Aanand L Rai's production house, clarifying that there has been a complete mix-up.
An official statement was released by Aanand L Rai and his production house, reacting to the report. The spokesperson for Colour Yellow said: "These are baseless rumours. We’ve met Kartik for a different film and we’re still talking. We’ve taken another film altogether to Ayushmann and this is a complete mix up."
Hindustan Times had reported that Kartik was in advanced level talks with Aanand, and had read the script and heard the narration, too. But, before he could sign on the dotted line, things fell apart. However, Aanand L Rai's production house has now cleared the air about the same.
Well, that’s not it. The report stated that Kartik Aaryan is apparently not even aware that the makers have already replaced him with another actor. The source revealed further, “Aanand is now considering Ayushmann Khurrana for this film with who he had earlier collaborated on Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017) and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020), so it’s not a surprise if he may have readily come on board.” When the filmmaker was asked about Khurrana coming on board, he said, “I have a story, which we would soon make with Ayushmann.” Also Read: Juhi Chawla Files Lawsuit Against Implementation Of 5G In India; Says, ‘You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide’
Earlier in February this year, reports surfaced that Kartik Aaryan and Aanand L Rai are teaming up for a film. The report emerged after the actor was spotted making an appearance outside the filmmaker’s Mumbai office. Work-wise, Kartik has film Dhamaka and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in the pipeline.
