Veere Di Wedding trailer took many by surprise because of the bold language used in it. Social media argued that the film was depicting the way many youngsters talk today.
However, it seems the Censor Board doesn't think the same way.
The CBFC has given the film an ‘A’ certificate. However, that hasn't shocked the producers of the film - Rhea Kapoor & Ekta Kapoor. The reason for the same is that once you get an A certificate, there wouldn't be any cuts or changes in the film done by the CBFC. The makers wanted to keep the film as they intended to make it and didn't want to tamper it.
Speaking to a leading daily, a source close to the film informed, "Both Jeetendra (Ekta Kapoor's father) and Anil Kapoor (Rhea Kapoor’s father) argued heatedly in favour of the colourful language spoken in the film. They are convinced that today's youngsters speak that foul lurid leery language. Some panel members objected. But finally, the board members agreed to let the language remain intact and gave the film an 'A' certificate."
It's being said that many members of the CBFC "were dead against" the language used by the four women.
