Karan Johar has been on the receiving end ever since Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide. He is being accused of nepotism with netizens bashing him left, right and centre. As the situation on social media got ugly, Karan Johar distanced himself from all the platforms. He who used to be very active on Instagram hasn't posted anything since Sushant's demise. Karan has even unfollowed all except four celebrities on Twitter. While he has gone into a hibernation of sorts, Karan was recently spotted at a Neetu Kapoor's birthday celebrations.
A picture shared by Neetu Kapoor from her birthday celebration had Karan Johar being a part of it along with Ranbir Kapoor and others. Netizens soon started trolling Karan Johar for partying. However, as reported by News18, Karan attended the celebration only because Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt asked him to. A source has been quoted saying, "Both (Alia and Ranbir) are very precious to Karan. And they insisted that he join them for the party. Otherwise, he was most reluctant to be seen partying in public. Besides it wasn’t really meant to be a party. Ranbir’s mother is grieving over her husband’s death. She didn’t want a party, but her children insisted. And they dragged Karan into the small get-together."
The source further added, "Karan doesn’t really want to step out of his home. This was the first time since Sushant’s death that he stepped out, and only because he can’t say no to Alia." Okay then!
Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14. Reportedly, he died by suicide as he was found hanging from his ceiling fan in his apartment in Bandra. (Also Read: Sushant Singh Rajput Death: Petition Filed Against Karan Johar, Salman Khan And Sanjay Leela Bhansali Dismissed In Bihar Court)
