Last evening, the Narcotics Control Bureau sent summons to Bollywood stars like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and fashion designer Simone Khambatta. Deepika’s name emerged after her chats with her manager Karishma Prakash were accessed by NCB where she had allegedly asked for maal. As per the alleged drug-chats, the actress had asked Karishma for ‘hash’, and not ‘weed.’ The actress is expected to appear before the NCB officials tomorrow. Now, Republic reports that Kshitij Prasad, from Karan Johar's Dharma Production has been summoned by the NCB.
A couple of days back, Deepika Padukone had dashed off to Goa for the shoot of her upcoming Shakun Batra film. The film that co-stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi came to halt after Deepika’s name emerged in the drug nexus. But now here’s the latest update. Karan Johar’s production house Dharma’s employee is also likely to join the drug probe.
According to a report in Republic TV, Dharma’s Executive Producer and director Kshitij Ravi Prasad has been asked to join the investigation by 11 am on Friday. Kshitij will reportedly appear before NCB on the same day as Deepika Padukone i.e., tomorrow. The Bajirao Mastani actress is expected to arrive in Mumbai from Goa by a chartered plane. Rakul Preet is also expected to be joining the drug probe tomorrow on the same day as Deepika and Kshitij.
Meanwhile, after Rhea Chakraborty named Sara, Rakul Preet and fashion designer Simone Khambatta, Simone along with SSR’s former manager Shruti Modi are at the NCB office. Rhea’s talent manager Jaya confessed that she procured drugs for Shraddha Kapoor, Rhea, producer Madhu Mantena and Sushant Singh Rajput.
