Filmmaker Karan Johar has had his number of fallouts in Bollywood, over the years. From breaking his friendship with Kareena Kapoor Khan when she had demanded a huge fee to be a part of his film Kal Ho Na Ho to reportedly shelving Kartik Aaryan starrer Dostana 2 due to ‘professional circumstances,’ he has always been upfront about his dealings in the industry. Now, he has opened up about the same during a recent interview and stated how he deals with the fragile egos of the actors, who demand huge pay.
Talking about how actors of today live in a delusional world, the 51-year-old filmmaker told The Week that he has to give a reality check to actors before signing them for a project. He explains that it is important to bring the actors out of their delusional world, sit them down, and tell them about their career trajectory and their box-office collections. He adds, “There are massive stars who are above it all, and then there are some who believe they deserve a certain number. But on what basis exactly? You have to tell them that, tell it politely, tell it nicely, but definitely say it.”
