Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is one of the most successful celebrities in the Hindi entertainment industry. Despite being tagged as a flag bearer of nepotism and being on the receiving end of trolling due to his fashion choices and sexual orientation, he has made a name for himself. Having been a part of the industry for over 25 years, he has now opened up about the measures producers go through to make sure that their films are watched by the audience, which also includes sending people they know to give good reviews of the film.
The 51-year-old filmmaker goes on to share that the producers make every last attempt to make sure that their film is heard. Johar expressed that even though he may ‘have a big critique on criticism,’ he is also riding on the back of the critics when they praise his film. Speaking of reading the criticism of the movies he produces and directs, he revealed that even though he respects certain critics he has a problem when they start writing screenplays of his movies. He adds, “This is our screenplay. You can critique it but why are you writing your screenplay? ‘It should’ve been like this.’ But it’s not like this.”
