Kanika Kapoor officially announced yesterday that she is tested positive for COVID-19 through her social media. The Baby Doll singer mentioned that she has been feeling fine and shared that she has flu-like symptoms. Due to her travel history to the UK and later partying with friends and family, several allegations were made against Kanika Kapoor with people calling her irresponsible. Now, actress Sonam Kapoor who recently returned from the UK and has been under self-quarantine took to her social media account to come out in Kanika’s support.
On Twitter, Sonam Kapoor came out in support of Kanika Kapoor amidst the Coronavirus row. The Zoya Factor actress tweeted, “Hey guys @TheKanikakapoor came back on the 9th. India was not self isolating but playing Holi.” In the tweet, Sonam mentioned to all the fans out there that Kanika Kapoor came back to India on March 9th. Sonam then went on to point out the fact that the whole of India was not self-isolating themselves at home at that time but playing Holi instead.
For the unversed, Kanika Kapoor landed back in India on March 9, 2020. As allegations about the singer avoiding checks at the airport and fleeing away have been made, Kapoor opened up on the same yesterday. The singer shared how she finds the rumors everyone is spreading around comical. Kapoor was also slammed for attending a party that saw 100 guests instead of staying in self-quarantine.
