Gudi Padwa is being celebrated today in Maharashtra and it marks the beginning of the new year. Meanwhile, Ugadi is celebrated as New Year’s Day in the Southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, marking the first day of the month of Chaitra. Chaitra Navratri also starts on the same day, and now, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took to her social media to wish her fans on the auspicious occasions.
Kangana Ranaut wished her fans a Happy New Year, Gudi Padwa and Navratri, and shared beautiful pictures of her dressed in a traditional outfit. The pictures show her looking lovely in a pink and golden saree, with elaborate jewelry. She can be seen wearing a nath, and a pair of golden jhumkas with a beautiful golden neckpiece. Another picture shows Kangana seeking the blessings of the goddess. Kangana also shared a story behind the devi picture she can be seen holding.
Kangana revealed that the picture of the goddess was given to her by her mother when she was leaving home. “ Wishing everyone happy #GudiPadwa #navratri #NewYear. This little devi picture that I am holding mother gave me when I left home, lost a lot but this stayed with me, I believe she looked after me,Navratris if you don’t know what to do, worship your mother and take her blessings,” tweeted Kangana.
