As per a tweet made by Saket Gokhale, a Transparency Activist and Investigator, "Kangana was issued a demolition notice by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM aka. BMC) in 2018 under MRTP Act." After this, she had even moved to Dindoshi sessions court to revolt against it. A copy of the Kangana Ranaut Vs MCGM Civil Suit has also made its way to the internet.

Meanwhile, Kangana who has just reached Mumbai, in her last tweet had mentioned that there is no illegal construction at her residence. Her tweet read, "There is no illegal construction in my house, also government has banned any demolitions in Covid till September 30, Bullywood watch now this is what Fascism looks like Slightly smiling face#DeathOfDemocracy #KanganaRanaut." Her sister Rangoli Chandel is giving her company.
