Amidst the ongoing Farmer’s protest in Punjab, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut expressed her views which did not go well with many celebrities from the Punjabi film industry. The actress blocked Bigg Boss 13 fame Himanshi Khurana and few others after they slammed her for her opinion on Twitter. Since this morning, Kangana is caught up in a war of words with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. As the Twitter war continues, a user praised Dosanjh for speaking up against Ranaut and slammed Bollywood celebrities for not standing up and keeping mum. Now, Taapsee Pannu reacted to the user.
On Twitter, amidst Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut’s war of words, a social media user tweeted, “Tragic state of Bollywood - even after so much abuse & slander they kept mum on Kangana. Finally a Punjabi Singer / Actor had to deal with the guttermouth; reveals just how hollow, impotent & stupine Bollywood has become. Not being able to stand up for the nation - or for itself.” Reacting to the tweet made by the user, actress Swara Bhasker expressed her disagreement on the user’s accusations that B-Town celebrities kept mum and stayed silent. Swara replied, “Not everyone kept mum,” and tagged Taapsee Pannu and Richa Chadha in the tweet she made. Replying to the tweet, Taapsee said, “That’s always been the problem here. Hum kuch mayeno mein “outsiders” hi rahenge na #AProudOutsider.” The Thappad actress said that keeping quiet and not saying anything has always been a problem in Bollywood. She then called herself a ‘proud outsider’ and mentioned that in some way, they will always be outsiders.
