From the past few days, Kangana Ranaut has been having a war of words on her Twitter handle with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. Her comparison of Mumbai city to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) led to a huge controversy which also made Sanjay Raut call her 'haramkhor.' After this remark, Kangana ensured to hit him back by sharing a video where she expressed that she has freedom of expression and also raised questions on why Aamir Khan or Naseeruddin Shah were not called the same. Apart from Sanjay Raut, Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh also said that Kangana who is in Manali has no right to come back to the city. In fact, she even received threats from Shiv Sena. Amidst all this, the latest news suggests that the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has told the state government that they will be providing security to Kangana Ranaut for her Mumbai visit on September 9.
According to a report in India Today, the portal carried Thakur's statement which said, "Kangana is the daughter of Himachal Pradesh and a celebrity too. It's our duty to give her security. I have told the Director General of police Sanjay Kundu to take steps accordingly. Kangana has a travel plan to Mumbai on September 9, we are examining possibilities to give her security within the state and elsewhere too if needed."
The portal further claimed that CM said Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli called him on Saturday and her father too formally wrote to the Himachal police, requesting security for his daughter.
