Bollywood’s undisputed queen Kangana Ranaut is very active on social media as she often shares her views on several topics be it political or social issues. In her recent tweet, the actress slammed Indian media for not knowing about the traditional Indian jewel which is very popular in Punjab and Himachal. Kangana lashed out at netizens for calling her ‘traditional’ headgear a crown. The actress shared her pictures donning a regal lehenga choli paired with traditional headgear which people labelled as a ‘crown’.

Taking to her Twitter handle, the Tanu Weds Manu actress wrote, “It’s not a crown it’s a traditional Indian jewel… very popular in Punjab and Himachal… in Punjab it’s known as Saggi phool and Himachal it’s a variation of chakk… even Indians don’t know about their heritage especially these embarrassing jurnos.” Reacting to her post, one user commented, “Of course it is the crown that we wore on our head while doing giddha, on teej, marriages, functions etc.” Another said, “Embarssing journo? What an Ego? Meanwhile, Kangana is currently making headlines after it is being reported that she will be reuniting with R Madhavan after 8 years for a Tamil film. They have reportedly signed a Tamil film to be directed by Ayothi director, Manthira Murthy. Trident Arts Ravindran would be producing this untitled film. 

Kangana and Madhavan acted together in Tanu Weds Manu in 2011 and followed it up with its sequel ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ Returns in 2015.
