A war of words ensued after Kangana Ranaut called Bollywood actresses Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker ‘B-Grade actresses’ in her interview with Republic TV. She also later clarified in another interview what she actually meant by it. However, what followed was Taapsee and Kangana’s team both taking digs at each other on social media. Recently, Taapsee shared a fan’s post about Kangana lauding Ranveer Singh’s performance in Gully Boy. However, Kangana’s team has slammed Taapsee, claiming it was a half-edited video.

The video which was retweeted by Taapsee was actually shared by a social media user and it showed Kangana choosing Ranveer Singh for his performance in Gully Boy. The user then questioned her how the same film in 2020 became ‘Waahiyat’ and why Kangana didn’t mention Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore anywhere. Now, Kangana’s team has hit back and they claimed it was an edited video. They shared the full clip where Kangana was asked to choose between Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, and Kangana chose Ranveer, not just based on his performance in Gully Boy, but also Bajirao Mastani and overall performances in other films. Eventually, she says it should have been a tie because both Ranbir and Ranveer are great actors, but chooses Ranveer Singh.

Sharing this video, Kangana’s team wrote, “Ms Punnu has hit new low by posting fake videos, today she has officially become not just a B grade actor but also a B grade human being, shame on you @taapsee for posting half edited videos to please your masters..”

A fan also pointed out how the video was recorded much before Chhichhore released, and Kangana’s team shared it thanking the user for pointing it out. They further wrote that Kangana’s list of best performances in 2019 doesn’t change, and is still the same.
