On April 3, 2020 Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation through a special video message and urged all the citizens to switch off their lights this Sunday at 9 pm and light candles, diyas or their mobile phones’ flashlights to stand united and mark their fight against COVID-19. This initiative was endorsed by celebs like Vivek Agnihotri, Taapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel. However, Taapsee’s tweet about a ‘new task’ did not go down well with Rangoli, who slammed Taapsee for the same.
Taapsee Pannu had tweeted on April 3, after PM Modi’s video message. She wrote, “New task is here ! Yay yay yayy !!!” Replying to this tweet, Kangana’s sister Rangoli wrote, “B grade mimicry actors ki bhi jali... bekar he toh ho ek task dediya toh .... sooj gayi?” This isn’t the first time that Rangoli has slammed Taapsee Pannu. Earlier, she had called Taapsee a ‘sasti copy’ of Kangana Ranaut, after Taapsee did not single out Kangana while praising the trailer of Judgementall Hai Kya.

Further elaborating her views on PM Modi’s initiative, Rangoli wrote, “It is a matter of fact when Rani of Jhansi was going for her grand battle she organised Haldi Kumkum festival for her army and people, she said people are too stressed, they all danced the night away, warfare history calls it a master stroke, let’s light Diyas it is an act of Love faith and hope ....this is our chance to make our history a glorious one, how 130 crores of Indians stood together as one being as one consciousness and fought our enemy a threat to our race together.... Jai Hind.”
