Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’ personal bodyguard was taken into custody from his native place in Karnataka on Saturday. The accused, Kumar Hegde was arrested on charges of allegedly cheating on a woman in Mumbai. Hegde had allegedly entered into a relationship with the woman on the promise of marrying her. A PTI report stated that a police officer said that Kumar fled Mumbai and started living in Karnataka’s Heggadahalli, his native village. As per the report, the police officer revealed that a team of Mumbai police arrived in Karnataka and arrested the accused.
According to the report, the police officer said, “A team of Mumbai police came here yesterday (Saturday) and arrested Kumar Hegde from Heggadahalli in Mandya.”
A few days ago, an FIR was filed against Kangana Ranaut’s personal bodyguard, Kumar Hegde accusing him of sexual abuse. As per the FIR, Hegde had promised the victim marriage in June last year. She claimed that they have known each other for 8 years. The FIR mentioned that the accused also suggested a live-in relationship, to which the victim only agreed as she had hoped they would get married. In the complaint, the victim said that she refused to have a physical relationship with the accused, but revealed he forced her into it. She also claimed that Kumar borrowed 50,000 rupees. The victim mentioned he took money from her stating his mother is unwell, left town and has been unreachable since.
Meanwhile, so far, Kangana Ranaut has not reacted to this news. The actress is currently in Manali, spending time with family and friends post her COVID-19 recovery. Ranaut took to Instagram on Monday to share a picture of her visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
