The bench stated, "We cannot let a structure remain like that in this monsoon. Otherwise you are very fast but when there are allegations against you, then you are dragging your feet." To this, Kangana Ranaut reacted saying that she was moved to tears. On Twitter, she wrote, "Honourable Justice HC, this brought tears to my eyes, in the lashing rains of Mumbai my house is indeed falling apart, you thought about my broken house with so much compassion and concern means a lot to me,my heart is healed thank you for giving me back all that I had lost."
Kangana Ranaut, who is currently in Manali, had come down to Mumbai on September 9 when the BMC carried out the demolition work at her office. Her lawyers managed to get a stay order from the High Court on demolition. She then visited her wrecked office and was left torn. She had shared pictures of her shredded office on social media saying that it was Death of Democracy.
