Kangana Ranaut’s tweets against the protesting farmers in India have been causing a stir on social media. The actress often hits the headlines for her controversial tweets, and just a few days ago, a few tweets of Kangana about the farmers’ protest were taken down by Twitter as they violated some rules of the micro-blogging site. In one of her tweets, Kangana called the protesting farmers ‘terrorists’ and claimed that they were trying to divide India.  Post her tweets against the farmers’ protest, now PTI has reported that Congress leaders in Madhya Pradesh have threatened protest at Dhaakad shoot.

According to the report in PTI, Congress leaders in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district threatened that they wouldn’t allow Kangana to shoot for her upcoming film Dhaakad if she doesn’t apologize to farmers for her tweets. The shooting for Dhaakad is currently going on in Sarni area of Betul district. The report in PTI stated that on Wednesday, State Congress Sewa Dal secretary Manoj Arya and Chicholi Block Congress Committee president Nekram Yadav submitted a memorandum to a tehsildar in Betul, which stated that if Kangana didn’t apologize by Friday evening for her comments over the farmers’ protest, she wouldn’t be allowed to shoot for Dhaakad in Sarni. They alleged that Kangana had maligned the farmers.

Kangana Ranaut reacted to this news and tweeted, “मुझे नेतागीरी में कोई इंटरेस्ट नहीं .... मगर लगता है कांग्रिस मुझे नेता बनाकर ही छोड़ेगी...” Check out her tweet below:

Meanwhile, PTI also reported that BJP leader and state home minister Narottam Mishra reacted to the news and said that the government will ensure Kangana faces no problem while shooting. “I had a telephonic talk with the Betul Superintendent of Police. Law will take its own course and will be adhered to. I am trying to contact behan-beti (sister and daughter) Kangana. She won't face any problem," he said.
