In a surprising turn of events, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) bulldozed the illegal construction of Kangana's office Manikarnika Films located at Pali Hill, Bandra West. The actress had arrived in the city after BMC pasted a notice outside her office giving her 24 hours to respond. But before she had landed in the city, BMC began the demolition until a court-ordered a stay. Later, the Queen actress had moved the court seeking Rs 2 crore for damages done during the process of demolition conducted by Mumbai’s civic body.
Now as per the latest report, BMC filed an affidavit and urged the court to dismiss the actress' plea of seeking damage costs. The civic body said it was an abuse of the process of law. Not only that, but BMC also asked the court to impose a cost on her for filing such a plea. According to a report in NDTV, BMC’s affidavit read, “The writ petition and the reliefs sought for therein constitute an abuse of process. The petition should not be entertained and should be dismissed with costs.”
A few days before the demolition of her office, Kangana had posted a video on social media and had alleged that BMC persons who had forcefully entered her Pali Hill office had threatened to demolish it. However, Ranaut said before this never received a notice about the same.
A day after putting up the notice, some parts of her office were bulldozed by BMC, Bombay High Court had put a stay on it after Ranaut’s lawyer had filed a plea seeking the same. (ALSO READ: Kangana Ranaut Shames A Famous Choreographer For Saying, ‘Rape Kiya Toh Kya Hua, Roti Toh Di Na’)
