Taking to Twitter, Rangoli shared the news in a series of tweets by writing, “Kangana donated 1 lakh and I donated 1 thousand to jalmitra.org please donate whatever you can to help our farmers, it’s not charity, we have been unfair to them for way too long. India got independence but still cruel British laws and policies weren’t changed to favour our farmers, we eat because of them, on this earth day let’s show our gratitude to “Dhartiputras “ our dear farmers.”

Not too long ago, the actress had accused Aamir Khan for not standing by her last film, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She had said, “When Aamir called me for Dangal, Secret Superstar, I went all the way to Ambani's house. Dangal, for me, was a film about women empowerment. But they don't have time for any of my trials. I have two-three films coming up, but I don't expect people to write about them." Then, Aamir in his response had said, “Aaisa unhone mujhe toh nahi bola hai". So, it’s quite interesting to see the actress helping his foundation and doing her bit for the betterment of farmers's lives.
On the work front, the actress will be seen in the role of legendary actor-turned-politician Jayalalithaa in her biopic. Then, she has Mental Hai Kya with Rajkummar Rao, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga and also another film as a director, details of which are unknown as of now.
