In the recent twist Bollywood critic and journalist Rajeev Masand quit journalism to join Karan Johar’s Dharma Cornerstone Agency as COO. Soon after the
KJo’s production house confirmed the news it received a strong reaction from Kangana Ranaut. Post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death Kangana has been targeting filmmakers and actors for their biased behaviour towards outsiders. While reacting to Rajeev’s new appointment the Manikarnika actress said that the film industry needs more strict laws.
Re-sharing the news on her Twitter handle, Kangana Ranaut wrote, “Rajeev wrote the most poisonous blind items about Shushant and me, he openly licked mediocre star kids and gave negative reviews to genuinely good films, even as a journalist he was always KJO minion. Good, he left journo facade and joined KJO officially,” “This is how movie mafia hijacks key people in every place, agents/critics/journalists/distributors/award jury they plant their minions in your personal life to ruin you from every angle, they ban you n ruin your image, many succumb few survive. Need strict laws in the movie industry,” read her next tweet.
Earlier a source close to the development had revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “Journalist Rajeev Masand is all set to join DCA next week. He’ll be working as the COO of the company. Karan and other top authorities at Dharma believe that he’ll be the right person for the job and help them in scouting fresh talent and managing them. That’s what it seems like. He has been heard telling that he’s taking a sabbatical from journalism. However, looking at other journalists who quit the field completely when getting into film production and related business, it seems like Rajeev Masand, too, would go the same way.”
