Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh is doing really well at the box-office. The movie is inching towards the 100 crore club. While, a majority of the audience seems to be loving Shahid aka Kabir Singh’s heartbroken alcoholic avatar, a certain section of the audience believes that it wrongly glorifies his character and depicts doctors in a poor light.
A Mumbai-based doctor has filed a complaint against the filmmakers for portraying doctors in bad light as Shahid’s character of a surgeon takes to alcohol and drugs to heal a broken heart. So, the doctor lodged a complaint with the Mumbai police and has even written a letter to the central Health Minister, Information and Broadcasting Ministry, State Health Ministry and the Censor Board of Film Certification to stop screening the film.
The Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer is an official remake of the Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy and is directed by the same director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Quite identified with his anger as long as it was not on the wrong side of the law; if you love somebody you ought to be fierce about your bloody feelings, else better not love. Do what your heart says is right, you have only one life. Don't think what the world will say, nobody can actually feel what you're undergoing and so they're just basically consoling you.
