John Abraham is all set to be back on the big screen with his upcoming film Batla House and this film his fourth movie in the patriotism genre. The actor has also previously experimented with the same genre in films Romeo Akbar Walter, Parmanu and Satyameva Jayate. In the thriller drama Batla House, Abraham will be portraying the role of Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, one of the most decorated cops of India. The film is set to release on August 2018 and will see a clash with Akshay Kumar’s film Mission Mangal which will release on the same day, i.e, Independence Day.
Now, John has opened up and reacted on the big box- office clash. He mentioned that he will soon be clashing with other actors on various holidays. The Parmanu actor said, "I will be clashing with other films on Diwali, Eid, and Christmas as well. I will make everybody comfortable with me from now on, because I am going to clash with other actors on Diwali, Eid, and Christmas also, at some point or other. And, we all have to get comfortable with each other. I think we are a small family and we all get along well, so we have to be comfortable.” He goes on to say, "I will come on other holidays too, very soon. May be not this year but in the next few years. Nikkhil Advani is also planning a Christmas release with me for 19/11 two years down the line, so we’ll come. We have no problem."
This is not the first time that John Abraham and Akshay Kumar’s films will battle it out at the box office. Interestingly, even last year, John’s film Satyamev Jayate and Akshay’s Gold competed at the box office on the same day, August 15, 2018.
