Two weeks ago, Sonu Sood had said in a section of the media that he had received a script from a Punjab-based filmmaker for the biopic of actor-wrestler Dara Singh. He said that he'd think over the script after reading it. And now, SpotboyE.com has learnt that a script written by Mahrukh Asad Mirza, the man who wrote films like Amitabh Bachchan starrer Kasme Vaade, has written a biopic of the (late) wrestler-actor and narrated it to John Abraham.

Maharukh is trying to get a director on board who can handle this story with aplomb and show.

Dara Singh's son Vindu had said in an interview sometime ago that director Rohit Jugraj had approached him for permission on a film based on his father. There has however been no headway on that project so far. Obviously, Maharukh & Co will have to seek permission from Dara Singh's family.

Last time when John toyed with idea of playing a wrestler in a film (to be directed by Parmeet Sethi for JA Entertainment), the project went kaput since Salman Khan and his brother Sohail were also working on the same subject. The film was supposed to be based on Gama Pehelwan.

Dara Singh's last few films included hits like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Jab We Met.
