We have been hit by the second wave of Coronavirus, and governments of several states have announced stricter restrictions and curfews in a bid to tackle and curb the spread of the Coronavirus. Punjab recently announced a night curfew- from 6 pm to 5 am during weekdays and a complete weekend lockdown. Now, according to a report in ANI, Bollywood actor Jimmy Shergill, director Eeshwar Nivas were among those who were booked for violating COVID-19 induced curfew in Punjab.
As per reports, Jimmy Shergill, Eeshwar Nivas and 35 others have been booked for defying the COVID induced curfew while they were shooting for a web series in Ludhiana last night. According to Hindustan Times, Jimmy Shergill was shooting for the web series Your Honor at a school in Ludhiana on Tuesday night. Hindustan Times quoted sub-inspector Harjit Singh saying that 150 crew members were shooting for the web series at Arya Senior Secondary School at 8 pm, two hours after the lockdown was imposed.
A court scene was reportedly being shot for the 2nd season of Your Honor, when the police reached the school premises. In the series, Jimmy Shergill plays the role of a judge based in Ludhiana.

According to the HT report, a case has been registered under Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the IPC as well as Section 3 of the Epidemic Diseases Act.
