Looks like even before Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film on politician J Jayalalithaa’s, titled as Thalaivi goes on floors, the makers have already landed themselves into trouble. Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar, has moved the Madras High Court, seeking a stay on two in-production projects - a film and a web series - based on the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s life. Latest reports state that Deepa Jayakumar is concerned about the honesty that these two projects will show. Jayalalithaa passed away on 5th December 2016.

Tweeting about the news, ANI wrote, “Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar (in file pic) moves Madras High Court to restrain the release of a biopic on J Jayalalithaa's life.” Jayakumar has filed a case against the makers. In the affidavit, Jayakumar has approached Madras HC seeking a stay on the biopic and web series alleging that neither the makers of Kangana Ranaut starrer and nor the web series’ production approached for her consent. “It is being said that Deepa wants to ensure that there is some kind of guarantee given by both the directors in terms of presenting the politician's biopic on the silver screen. She wants to court to intervene so that dialogues or instances don't portray a different picture of Jayalalithaa's life,” reports Times Now.

Though Kangana has been prepping for her role she was also in news a few days back. We had reported Kangana Ranaut had said if a book will be made on her life then she thinks her sister, Rangoli should be the narrator. She had told Midday, “If a book were to be written on my life, I feel Rangoli should be the narrator. She is the best person to narrate my story as she has seen me from my childhood to what I am today. She can [tell the story] from the point of view of an elder sister."
