Veteran actress-turned-politician Jaya Prada seems to have gotten herself in legal trouble. She will reportedly be arrested after she failed to appear in court for the seventh time. As per the various media reports the MP/MLA court in Rampur has ordered the police to form a separate team of officials to arrest her.
Talking about the case in 2019, she had stood for the Lok Sabha elections from Rampur. She was representing the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) at the time. During the rallies, she reportedly violated a few codes of conduct after which two legal cases were registered against her. Despite the court repeatedly asking for her presence, the actress failed to appear in court and didn’t take the warrants seriously. It is to be noted, that the actress-turned-politician and her team are yet to release an official statement regarding her arrest.

For the unversed, Jaya Prada was one of the most popular actresses of the 70s and the 80s. Born as Lalitha Rani Rao, she made a name for herself in the entertainment industry after she made her debut in the Telugu film industry at the age of 13. She went on to make a name for herself in Bollywood and garnered a huge fanbase for her everlasting beauty and versatile performances. She was once the highest-paid actress in Bollywood.
