Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan has been making the headlines these days for her bold statements on her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast What The Hell Navya season 2. Also graced by the latter’s mother, Shweta Bachchan, the three generations often sit together and discuss their point of view about the changing society. In one of the recent episodes, the actress opened up about how a wife should deal with her husband when he is going through a tough time.
Countering her mother’s view, Shweta added, “No, Mumma! I don’t agree. Sometimes all a man needs is some idea which then they can work on. I would like to play a more proactive role and look for a solution because I’m a problem solver.”
For the unversed, Sr Bachchan went through a very rough time in the '90s, when his company went bankrupt. He had gone on to reveal that he had a debt of Rs 90 crore. Recalling the entire experience and creditors would knock on their doors every day, he shared that it was “very embarrassing, very humiliating.” He went on to succeed in life after late producer Yash Chopra offered him a role in Shah Rukh Khan-Aishwarya Rai starrer Mohabbatein. He went on to host his famous quiz-based Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is to date one of the most well-loved reality shows on Indian television.
