‘Janhvi Kapoor Would Frequently Visit My House, While Prepping For Her Role,’ Says Pankaj Tripathi

Pankaj Tripathi, known famously for his role in Gangs Of Wasseypur film series, has an interesting lineup of projects this year. Highly praised for his roles in films such as Stree, Newton, Masaan, the actor will next be seen in ’83, Anurag Basu’s Ludo, Mumbai Saga, Panga, Angrezi Medium, Mimi among others. The actor, in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, talked about the workload and how he manages it. He also shared his views on the new generation of actors, on working with Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Kriti Sanon in various films.

Pankaj Tripathi shared that he is tired, given his workload, but he manages it fine and pulls it off as he is a trained actor. He said, “At times, I’ve felt that the workload is a lot. I am trying to work out some time to be free and take a break in the next few months.” Sharing his views about the young actors, he said that they are passionate and well prepared. “In fact, while preparing for her role, Janhvi used to frequently visit my house and we would cook and eat and bond. It will reflect in the film,” said Pankaj Tripathi.


Also speaking about working with Ranveer Singh, he said that Ranveer and he share a ‘khaas rishta.’ He has known Ranveer Singh for a decade now and he sees no difference in the Ranveer then and now. “He is adbhut and is immensely passionate about his work,” he said.


 Pankaj Tripathi, apart from starring in upcoming films ’83, Panga, Mumbai Saga and others, will also be seen reprising the role of Kaleen bhaiyya in the second season of the web show, Mirzapur.
