If the latest reports are anything to be believed, another film just got added to Janhvi Kapoor's kitty. After Dostana 2 and Roohi Afza, Janhvi might star in the Hindi remake of Malayalam film Helen which is said to be a survival thriller, produced by Zee Studios and her father Boney Kapoor. Helmed by Mathukutty Xavier, Janhvi reportedly has signed the remake of this film, as per a report published in TOI, however, a confirmation on the same is yet to be made by the actor herself and the makers. The report further mentioned that actor Manoj Pahwa has also been signed to play Janhvi's father who is excited about the film.
Reportedly, Boney has bought the rights to remake the popular Malayalam film Helen in Hindi, and his and late Sridevi's elder daughter Janhvi will play the lead role in the Hindi version while stepping into the shoes of Anna Ben from the original. The prep for this film is underway. The report also stated that the shoot may start in the next 2-3 months and the preparation is proceeding at full spead. Talking about the film, Helen revolves around the life of an ordinary suburban girl who suddenly disappears, leaving her loved ones in a desperate search as she faces the ultimate battle - the one for her life.
Janhvi Kapoor received a rave response from movie buffs as well as critics for her biographical film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Her fans are now awaiting the release of Karan Johar's Dostana 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Lakshya, and Roohi Afza, also starring Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma.
