Recalling her mother's guidance when Janhvi first expressed her aspirations to become an actress and ventured into the industry, she shared with Elle, "My mother would have offered more advice, especially before my first film. Our discussions about movies were limited until then, mostly observing her reactions to films we watched together as a family. When I expressed my interest in entering the film world, she stressed that I should be prepared for inevitable comparisons between my debut and her extensive filmography—a comparison she inherently deemed unfair."

The Gunjan Saxena star recalled her mother's advice, emphasizing that Sridevi urged her not to dwell on such comparisons. "She stressed the importance of authenticity, urging me to genuinely experience emotions and work diligently, highlighting the mantra 'no pain, no gain.'" Reflecting on shouldering the legacy of her mother alongside her sister Khushi, Janhvi acknowledged the complexities. She further expressed, "Carrying forward a legacy is a significant and multifaceted aspect of my life. It occupies my thoughts considerably. There's a duality to it - the challenge of not starting with a clean slate. There exists an established benchmark that I aim to meet."
Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming projects promise an exciting lineup, starting with Ulajh, where she portrays an IFS officer. Additionally, she's set to feature in Mr and Mrs Mahi, a film reuniting her with Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao, directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Adding to her diverse portfolio, she will also showcase her talent in the Telugu action film Devara, sharing the screen with Jr NTR in the lead role.
