According to the latest reports, conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is in Delhi's Tihar Jail for allegedly extorting Rs. 215 crore, has targeted three more Bollywood actresses besides Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi. An investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) revealed that Chandrashekhar allegedly used extorted money to send gifts to Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. Now, Janhvi’s close friend has reacted to these claims, saying that the actress had no contact with the conman.
While speaking to India Today, Janhvi’s friend revealed she never got in touch with Sukesh through any platform be it phone or other platforms. The friend also stated that ‘everything passes through Janhvi’s team and managing agency and she does not entertain any such queries’. She also mentioned that in fact Janhvi’s team or agency was also not in contact with Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
Reportedly, ED has found that last year Janhvi had inaugurated a salon owned by Sukesh's wife Leena Maria Paul in Bengaluru. The actress received a payment of Rs. 18 lakh as her fees. However, Janhvi told the investigative agency that she got a tote bag of Christian Dior as a gift from Leena's mother at the event.
During the investigation, Bhumi Pednekar revealed that Sukesh Chandrashekhar was interested to gift her a car but she did not receive any gifts or cars from him. It is being said that Janhvi Kapoor has submitted her bank account details to the ED as the investigation is underway.
