After Citizenship Amendment Bill was passed by the Indian government, it shook the nation and it has now turned into a chaos. The nation has divided into two sections – one, where the students of Jamia Milia Islamic university are fighting for their rights, on the other side, Delhi police have switched on the brutal mode. We also saw a lot of disturbing videos of students getting beaten up on social media and seeing this brutality, many Bollywood celebs have come in support of the protestors and expressed their rage and concern on the same by standing for solidarity.
Stars like Vicky Kaushal, Parineeti Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Dia Mirza have shared their views on their respective handles. The latest celeb to join the bandwagon is Alia Bhatt. The Raazi actress took to her Instagram account and shared a picture of the preamble of the Indian constitution while stating that we should ‘learn from the students.’ Earlier, Actor Ishaan Khatter and Sonakshi Sinha also shared pictures of the Preamble on social media. Sona wrote, “This is what we were, what we are and what we MUST remain! #neverforget”
while Ishaan wrote along on his story which read, “I was raised to believe in and take pride in the fact that we are the greatest secular nation in the world. I want it to remain that way. I stand by anybody who exercises their rights peacefully and I pray for the unison and well being of all my fellow people.”
Not just common people and celebs are getting affected, even Hollywood and 2012 actor John Cusack was deeply hurt with the scenario in India and shared a tweet of the same on his handle to make the people aware of the consequences of this act.
