Jagdeep 'Soorma Bhopali' Passes Away: Sons Jaaved Jaaferi And Naved Jaferi Along With Johny Lever Give Him A Send Off
Legendary actor and comedian Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafri, popularly known as Jagdeep, passed away at the age of 81. Sons Jaaved Jaaferi, Naved Jaaferi and fellow comedian Johny Lever took part in his last rites
Yesterday, the industry lost one of its finest comedians. Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafir, popularly known as Jagdeep Soorma Bhopali, passed away at the age of 81. He was the father of celebrities Jaaved Jaaferi and Naved Jaaferi. Today, in his last rites, his sons appeared with their respective family members. Fellow comedian Johny Lever too made sure to attend late actor Jagdeep Bhopali's funeral and extend his condolences to the family members. As per reports, the legendary actor's mortal remains were buried at Mazgaon Mustafa Bazaar burial ground in Mumbai.
Earlier, a few pictures of Jaaved Jaaferi leaving his home for his father's funeral surfaced on the web. Now there are pictures of Naved Jaaferi and Johnny Lever too who marked their presence at the burial ground. In one picture we could also see, Jaaved, Naved and Johny Lever conversing.
Johny Lever appeared to be very close to Jagdeep Bhopali as he did his first film with the deceased. On social media too, Johny Lever penned a long note on Jagdeep Bhopali's demise and wrote, "My first film & the first time I ever faced the camera, was in the film #yehrishtanatoote with the legend himself #Jagdeep bhai. We will miss you...May his soul rest in peace Our prayers & deepest condolences to the family."

Jagdeep Soorma Bhopali appeared in more than 400 films and pulled off some of the most iconic characters to date. His comic timing was unmatched and he was considered to be on par with Mehmood. Producer Mehmood Ali confirmed the news of the actor's demise to news agency PTI and shared, "He passed away at 8.30 pm at his residence in Bandra.
